A few tips from us to help you play better at the WPT Global tables.
Even if you're already used to playing poker with friends, start at the micro-stakes tables first to get comfortable with the pace and playing style of WPT Global's online player pool.
Never sit at a table where the buy-in exceeds 5% of your bankroll. This keeps you in the game even through losing sessions.
Position at the poker table matters. Playing from a late position such as the Button or Cutoff gives you a significant information advantage over your opponents.
Online poker still has its "tells" – pay attention to bet sizing, decision timing, and your opponents' playing patterns. That information is often worth more than your own cards.
For many Malaysian players, poker is far more than a game of luck. It's an art form — a blend of mathematics, psychology, and self-discipline. At WPT Global, we understand that completely. Our poker platform is built not for players looking for simple entertainment, but for those who are serious about improving their skills and generating consistent returns.
One of the biggest advantages of playing poker at WPT Global over other platforms is its more mature and active player ecosystem. With over 12,000 active players every day, you'll never be short of opponents. Tables are always full, variance is easier to manage, and the opportunity to learn from a wide variety of playing styles is far greater than sitting at a small game with the same faces every session.
WPT Global is deeply committed to game integrity. Advanced collusion and bot-detection systems run continuously in the background, keeping every table fair and secure. Our RNG is certified by independent international auditing bodies, so you can take your seat with full confidence knowing every card dealt is completely random.
For new players looking to try online poker for the first time, WPT Global offers free play money tables where you can practise without risking real money. Once you're comfortable with the pace of play and how the interface works, you can move on to real-money tables starting at very low stakes.
For more serious players, the WPT Global VIP programme offers rewards tailored specifically to poker activity – including free entry tickets to select tournaments, cashback calculated based on the rake you pay, and access to exclusive VIP tables unavailable to regular members. The more actively you play, the greater the rewards.
We also understand that Malaysian players have their own preferred playing hours. That's why our major tournaments are scheduled during evening hours, Monday through Sunday, fitting around the lifestyle and work schedules of Malaysian players. The Sunday Million Malaysia, which kicks off at 7:00 PM every Sunday, is one of the most anticipated weekly tournaments, with a prize pool that consistently exceeds RM 100,000.
Simply put, if you're serious about poker and want a platform that's fair, active, and built with Malaysian players in mind – WPT Global is the right choice for you.
Honest reviews from members who play poker on WPT Global every day.
"I've tried several online poker platforms, but WPT Global is by far the easiest for deposits and withdrawals. Just use Touch 'n Go and you're seated at a table within a minute. There's always action at the tables — no waiting around."
"The Sunday Million Malaysia on WPT Global is genuinely worth it — big prize pool but the buy-in is still very reasonable. Last week I finished in the top 20 and walked away with over RM 2,000. Best tournament I've ever entered."
"I'm a new poker player – only started teaching myself this past year. I began at the micro-stakes tables on WPT Global and gradually worked my way up. What I love most is the hand history feature, which lets me review my play and learn from my mistakes."
